- Trombone Choir
A slow and rhythmic fanfare, Counterintuitive is a challenging work for trombone choir. The work is very demanding of every member in the ensemble, utilizing rapid articulate passages in every register and a variety of complex rhythmic textures. Two double-time sections interrupt the work to build up energy and volume before returning to the rhapsodic opening material. This work was written for and premiered by the University of Alabama Trombone Choir in 2015.
